About Us

It started with two victims and an idea.

In the fall of 2006, Kimothy Walker, a veteran CTV Ottawa news anchor and producer, went public with the fact that she had been sexually abused during a sleepover when she was nine years old. Among the hundreds of messages of support she received was a letter from business owner Ron Jette, himself a victim of childhood sexual abuse.

They will both say now that it was inevitable—they had to do something.

After much research and chasing down the very best advice they could find, the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Network was born. (Please see the list of advisors we approached for advice.)
