If you are in
immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency
number.
If you are
being sexually abused, talk to someone you know and
trust—NOW.
If you suspect any child is being abused, you must, by law,
report your suspicion to your local child-welfare or child-protection agency.
The numbers are staggering. Surveys show
that one in two females and one in three males will be victims of
unwanted sexual acts during their lifetimes. Fully 80 percent of these
acts will be committed when the victims—our friends, our
neighbours, our children—are under the age of 18. Our
goal is to end the nightmare. Programs/Services
Whether you are a victim/survivor, a counsellor, a teacher or a
friend or family member, this searchable database will soon be your
one-stop source for programs and services. Prevention
Find out how you can prevent child sexual abuse,
influence those who are in a position to make better and stronger laws
and get the very latest information on child sexual abuse.
Research
Research allows us to make better decisions when it comes to
protecting our children. We are bringing together the very best
research, identifying gaps in our knowledge and then working to fill
those gaps.
